GWD的答案是C，我模考选的是B。请教各位大牛，C中a merger agreement be signed by them with a provision for penalties if the deal were 这个难道是虚拟语气嘛，为什么这么选啊？谢谢！

这是天山的题吧？Prep1-217确认答案A 个人的拙见是：If 后面是虚拟语义上表示虚拟 if从句是可以单独表示虚拟的比如这道题就是而且之前的部分（C中be出现的部分）是与之前联系在一起的所以were 同时说明 C中的be没必要况且them没有指代对象

我也觉得选A...最快方法是首先排除D，E 复数不对，接下来排除B offer to 为习惯搭配... C中them指代不明...

这么说GWD里的标准答案很多是错的了.
