an effort to reduce the number of fires started by cigarettes, a major tobacco
company is test-marketing a cigarette in which thin layers of extra paper

slowing the rate at which it burns and lowering the heat it generates.

麻烦各位大侠给分辨下，手里的答案是a，可是总觉得entering的修饰很不合理，但是其他的选项我也觉得有问题……这里看看谁能帮我解惑下啊

小人分析如下

a. entering的不合理

b.they无明确的修饰对象

c.句中的it与后面的it修饰对象不一致

d.and slowing的结构错误

e. in decreasing错误，应该是用to表目的。

为什么不合理

我的理解是这个强调的不是一种动作性，而是一个客观修饰，表状态吧……你觉得呢？

这个entering也不是强调动作，我觉得现在分词和定语从句做限制性修饰（就是没有逗号）的时候，没什么太大区别，虽然有总结说现在分词表经常性，定语从句表一次性，但是反例貌似也有

总之这里现在分词就是起了一个修饰作用，没觉得有在强调什么

这题我是在AC间排除的，因为另三个后半部分不对，C有个问题就是uses主动形式，我觉得不合适

那这样的话还是a最合适了？
