1. 代词只能指代中心词而不能指代修饰词，由于是ancestor’s，其中ancestor’s是修饰语，所以在B中用who指代ancestor就错了

2. A把did放在前面是与前面的结构sighting did Halley’s comet对称，而且in是接一段时间表示在1910-1911之间，而D中用of不够精准。

3. n+that+adj.一般是错误的结构，因为这个结构不够简洁adj+n总是优于这个结构，所以C错

1ancestor’s 后面没见过跟WHO的

2我选了C.请帮我解释一下.我对这句的结构不甚熟悉.

C也是用的of不够准确，而且没有补助动词，比起A来就不好了

In no other historical sighting did Halley’s comet cause such a worldwide sensation as did its return in 1910-1911.

这句话的意思是，没有什么 historical sighting 能比得上Halley’s comet‘s return in 1910-1911 to cause such a worldwide sensation

是一个否定词前置的倒装结构
