There are several ways to build solid walls using just mud or clay, but the most extensively used method has been the forming of bricks out of mud or clay, and, after some preliminary air drying or sun drying, they are laid in the wall in mud mortar.

B. forming the mud or clay into bricks, and, after some preliminary air drying or sun drying, to lay them

the forming是單數，後面they指代不清，應該是bricks被lay

B. forming the mud or clay into bricks, and, after some preliminary air drying or sun drying, to lay them

我覺得是平行錯誤

C. having bricks formed from mud or clay, and, after some preliminary air drying or sun drying, they were laid

having bricks formed 有點wordy，而且變成跟method平行，they指代錯

D. to form the mud or clay into bricks, and, after some preliminary air drying or sun drying, to lay them

正確，the...method be to 常見用法，they指代bricks合理

E. that bricks were formed from mud or clay, which, after some preliminary air drying or sun drying, were laid

which離bricks太遠

請高手糾正喔︿︿

E选项为什么错呢

which直接指代mud or clay 逻辑错误

另外 method has been that 看上去不正确

E中,which指代是没有问题的,因为后面带着的谓语动词是were,很明显通过主谓一致直接指向了bricks

E的错误有2:
1,原句是并列的关系,此处which引导的定语从句导致从属关系;
2,在被动和主动都可以选择的情况下, 主动优于被动形式;

og12-11有寫道which were錯誤指代到mud or clay,我鲁顿想了好久才明白

which were可以同時指代到二個單數名詞(這就成了複數了)，所以which就近指代會先指代到mud or clay而不是bricks

请问“the most extensively used method has been”，这里为什么要用has been? 用simple present "is" 不行吗？
有几种方法，用的是are，陈述一个事实；其中一个方法是is，陈述一个事实。

跟大家分享一个kkk一对一语法老师教的知识点：
逗号+doing结构，在句子主干的主语和谓语后面，可以直接修饰句子的主语；
但如果前面没有逗号，只能就近修饰前面的名词

doing结构+逗号和which结构，经常一起考到。是一大考点。
而且，doing结构有时可以帮助我们在SC题目中排除很多错误的选项
