我主要纠结在C和D之间

C可能的错误

1.时态有问题，过去完成时不对？

2.因为恰年的introduced by,句子的主语应该尽早出现，所以D优于C

3.介词短语充当的状语“until the end of the seventeenth”提前了，句子应该倒装。但是只要状语提前就一定要倒装么？

是哪一点或者是我没有想到的哪一点，请NN们指点迷津！不胜感谢。

1. OG/Prep上都有一些題用past perfect tense來強調一個動作從一個不明的時間到另一個時間(the end of the seventeenth century)結束, 所以如果我做題, 我不會因為看見had remained把C crossed out.
2. 我相信是, 因為有一題OG題是unlike X, in Z Y之類的比較結構, OG說in Z令到比較不清, 所以我相信similarly, 這題也是這樣
3. 那裡inverted?

我主要纠结在C和D之间

C可能的错误

严重同意，我在GWD上也看到过这样的例子。

用逻辑主语对应排除不了ABC的，完全从逻辑意义上来说，ABCDE5个选项的逻辑主语都是对的，不能因为地点状语或者时间状语放在开头就将其当做逻辑主语，将A排除的语法点我觉得应该是being的出现，完全多余，同时地点状语in England的位置确实不好，应该放在修饰对象后面；B可以用between...and来排除，但是同时还有几个错误：时态方面，一般过去式在本题中不如过去完成时好，过去完成时表示一直到the end of....为止life insurance都是存在的，而且老师说过，完成时说明事件对完成时发生的时间点有影响，同时还是有地点状语位置的问题，而且who typically were是多余的；C选项中的时间状语位置同样不好，但是不至于作为决定C错误的点，更重要的应该是时态问题；E选项也可以用固定搭配between... and 来排除，同时who typically were是多余的。

个人意见，仅供参考

小弟淺見，因為子句說明在十六世紀introduced，然後這個方法一直remained到十七世紀，如果用過去完成，是否會產生remained比introduced來的早歧義，所以才用一般過去式

仔细想了想，过去完成时应该是指一个动作在过去的过去那个时间里已经完成了，应该是一个具体的动作，表示一种结果。而remain应该是个连续的状态，用过去完成时看上去不是很舒服。。。个人意见，仅供参考

这题中In England 在选项中的位置都不一样，难道意思没有区别？？？？

Not until句首是用部分倒装，这里应该也是吧。而且not until倒装是否定词语放句首以表强调，这里根据句意根本没必要强调时间。

in england放到前面和后面是有区别的，仔细读下，

in england, x bala bala...在英国，X是怎么样，怎么样的。
X in england bala bala >....在英国的X是怎么样，怎么样的

我想可能是考虑到从句的主语是life insurance，所以在主句位置调整中，应该立马显现出来，不然可能会造成歧义，我绝对这是D优于C的原因！~而且C中的过去完成时确实没有一般过去式好~~
