100.Although the phenomenon of withdrawal has always been the crucial physiological Leng for distinguishing addictive from nonaddictive drugs, it has become increasingly evident that not all regular heroin users experience withdrawal symptoms.
(A) addictive from
(B) addictive and
(C) addictive or
(D) between addictive or
(E) among addictive or
本以為這是最簡單的一題.結果做錯了.
原先我選了(b).我以為解題的重點在distinguishing.但答案是(a).可有人可以解釋解釋....??

重点是在 distinguishing

distinguish 可以加介词 and 也可以加 from
distinguish A and B 两者之中选一个
e.g Sb can not distinguish between right and wrong.
A和B应该是对称的名词,没有从属关系
distinguish A from C
A和C一个是相对小范围的事物，一个相对大范围的事物
a method of distinguishing cancer cells from normal tissue
distinguishing addictive from nonaddictive drugs

解題的重點在distinguishing，那也应该是a啊

不好意思，我记得好象LZM的书上用 distinguish between A and B, 我有的胡涂，不要between也可以吗

*ditinguish 可以做及物动(intransitive)词也可以做不及物(intransitive verb)
用做及物动词时 distinguish A from B.....
用做不及物动词时 distinguish between A and B (这时一定要有between,)

*所有字典上都没明确说明两者的区别
但是以为这两结构的字面意思是一样的，
只是通过后面的宾语结构 between A and B 或 A from B
来表示组成宾语结构两个语素之间的关系
因此从例句中可以体会出
distinguish between A and B
因为A与B之间是由AND连接所以由AND在英语中代表的“平行、对称”原则
可以推出,A和B应该是对称的名词,没有从属关系的两个事物
distinguish A(sb/sth) from B
因为A与B之间是由from连接因此表示从属
所以A一个是相对与B范围较小的事物，而B是一个相对于A范围较大的事物

原因是这两个句子中distinguish表达的意思一样
而是通过变换后面的介词，来表示right 和wrong的关系，从而改变正句话的意思。
1) I can distinguish right from wrong
字面角度：我不能从坏的事物中发现好的事物（深层意思是坏中已经包括了好的）
语法角度： distinguish 做及物动词right是宾语, 而wrong 只是后面介词结构(做宾语的补语)的一个表示范围的名词。

2) I can distinguish between right and wrong.
字面角度：我不能区分错与对. （这里错与对是并列的关系）
语法角度：distinguish 是不及物动词, right和wrong用and连接他们在后面的状语结构中的功能相同、地位相等。

distinguish between A and B 以及 distinguish A and B 以前讨论过好多次了，不过一直也没有一个
明确的结果。感觉上似乎是如果笼统的谈区别要使用 between，如果是提到一个具体的方法来区别的
话，要使用distinguish... from...
