C－原句意思中心应该在长度上，而不是从哪里延伸到哪里，所以不应该把over。。。放于定语从句的位置。另外，and 后面的从句也容易被误解为定语从句的内容。

C错的原因是句子不完整，根本不用看语法错了什么，把C代回原句，各部分的语法成分变成：

The greatest road...Christopher Columbus 是主语
the Incan highway 是同位语
which后面整个是就修饰the Incan highway 的定语从句

也就是说，这样一堆东西加起来，中间还没有一个谓语，不是一个完整的句子。

选择C，句子不完整没有谓语动词了
