这道题如果选择e的话，岂不是改变了原来句子的意思？原句是想修饰evidence来着，而e选项里面表示的the elephant后面的句子表示的是目的了啊，敬请牛牛解答！

逻辑意思优先。逻辑意思不是原句意思。没有原句意思之说。the elephant has descended from an aquatic animal and its trunk originally evolved根据逻辑意思都是suggest的宾语。此时不能用逗号分开。

按照逻辑来说，that suggest和to suggest都能说得通。
