标题: 885-E-25 的看法
The reason ...... is that S + V. 才是對的
由be動詞平衡來看就知道了: 前後都是 N.

如果是 The reason .... is because S+V. 是不對的
因為 be 動詞後面是 adv.clause
GMAT裡面的題目，只要是 be動詞後面 + because of 或是 because都是錯的

至於 The reason why S+V ....
why都省略了

但是如過是 The reason that S+V.... 用that S+V來當 the reason的同位語用法,that 不能省略,因為 that S+V 是 N.clause

是THAT是可以省略的，有太多的例子，略举一二：

The reason air-pollution levels are higher in the newer houses is that many such houses are built near the sites of old waste dumps or where automobile emissions are heavy.

The reason Ann wants the fellowship is so she can quit her job at Technocomp.

好象有比较不对称嫌疑。正确应为： one reason young people lose their virginity more during the summer than at other times of the year ... 两个时间的比较。

请高手指正。

哦！又看了一下题！

那个比较如果把more改变位置的话就改变了作者愿意！

原题意思：越来越多的年轻人在夏天失去童贞，而不是在其它时间

如果像你那样改变体后：意思为：在夏天失去童贞的年轻人比在其它时间失去童贞的年轻人多！！

还请高手指教！

我怎么觉得这个reason后省略的是why呢？我理解搂住的意思是，reason that 从句作为reason得同位语时不能省略。

这个~~好像virginity只有一次Lose的机会，所以不可能在夏天的时候Lose多一点，在冬天的时候Lose少一点

所以这样的改法“ one reason young people lose their virginity more during the summer than at other times of the year”有点问题

明显是比较宾语,所以补出介词,不然会不知道到底是比较主语还是比较宾语

Longman字典上是写着:

the reason + why: The reason why she didn't get the job was that her English was not very good.(why不能省)

the reason + (that):The reason I didn't tell you was that I wanted it to be a surprise.(that可省略)
