（1）从划线部分的动词入手，好象发现没有什么办法； （2）接着看动词so were probably without language，were的发出者只能是Neanderthals ，所以保留a/b （3）比较a/b,a不满足平行结构，a vocal tract.....those of the apes ,so, b

a shortconing应该是指Neanderthals were probably without language。 逻辑没问题呀。 穴居人有类似猿的声道因此可能没有语言，这个缺点可能解释为何他们被我们淘汰
