E。D中谈到的种多少acre的问题在题中已标明pesticide needed per acre,因此在继续谈论how many acres没有意义。

参考xyGWD中某牛人的分析：E选项的意思是因为农民以前在种普通棉花时习惯了不得不用大量的杀虫剂所以在改良的棉花山还是习惯性的用了这么多，如果是，则说明不是改良品种不好，而是使用不当，这些品种可以带来经济效益，原文结论不成立。如果不是，则原文结论成立

这题经过诸牛，包括 lawyer的意见，最后选B，不是D也不是E。

我比较赞同B的解释。。。

不过这题好象是逻辑，放错地方了：）
