Plants are more efficient at acquiring carbon than are fungi, in the form of carbon dioxide, and converting it to energy-rich sugars.

  3. Plants are more efficient than fungi at acquiring carbon

  4. Plants, more efficient than fungi at acquiring carbon

我选E, 但GWD参考答案是C,请高手赐教

我的理解:

E应该是不对的　1)如果用动词acuqire+宾语，后面than　fungi需补出谓语，否则有歧义(aquire more fungi的歧义）2)aquire 和　后面的converting不paralel. 3)more than应该同时修饰acquire和convert,所以应该提前

C,将more than提前，主句是系表结构，than fungi后不需补出谓语。

A,从语法上好象没措，但没有将more than 提前
