who pondered ethical dilemmas是定语从句修饰 volunteers

不能这样理解。

假设have found的发起者不是researchers，那么发起者也只能是"brain scans"而不是"volunteers"

the brain scans (of volunteers) .. have found that ...

括号里的部分是修饰 brain scans的，brain scans才是中心词，“of volunteer”是modifier，不可以做动作的发起者。

brain scans have found that .. 不符合逻辑，因此不正确。

谢谢！懂了！我直接忽略了句子前面的成分，看成volinteers who````have found，把of结构硬生生拆开了
