7.    For the reason that gasoline was relatively cheap and twenty-five cents per gallon in the 1960’s, the average American came to view unfettered, inexpensive driving as a right rather than a lucky privilege. (Z.P. 133)
A)    For the reason that gasoline was relatively cheap and
B)    Because gasoline was relatively cheap and
C)    Due to the fact that gasoline was a relatively inexpensive
D)    In that gasoline was a relatively inexpensive
E)    Because gasoline was a relatively cheap
答案是E，我觉得B更好。因为E逻辑上说不通。而且B的表述好像也没有什么语法错误。我认为B的and 后面省略了相同的谓语动词was。请大家讨论。

我觉着B也不太好。Because gasoline was relatively cheap and twenty-five cents per gallon in the 1960’s从意思上讲原因可以是cheap但是要是说原因是twenty-five cents per gallon 好像不太好。所以我觉着用and把他俩个作为原因不好，twenty-five cents per gallon 作为一个修饰成分比较好，说明前面到底有多cheap。但是我觉着是不是有个,会更好些呢？？
哥哥你看呢？？（兔兔想ing~~~~~~~~）

and后面的主语是什么？？gasoline吗？gasoline是多钱？？是不是the price of gasoline was twenty-five cents。
兔兔也觉着这些选项都不好！！想不懂ing

这里的relatively含有“比较“的意思,表示相对于the 1960‘s,现在per gallon 便宜twenty-five cents, 并把cheap提前了以避免修饰的歧义~
原句应该为：Because gasoline was relatively twenty-five cents per gallon in the 1960’s cheap，......

同意五楼的说法
这题首先要用“平行“这一招， 既你用and, 必须前后主谓要匹配， 而且并列的成分要平衡，所以用and的时候，原意有两层意识：
gasoline was cheap
the price of  gasoline  was twenty-five cents.
所以用and合成: gasoline was relatively cheap and its price was twenty-five cents per gallon in the 1960’s
为此， B肯定错， E中的twenty-five cents per gallon 看上去有点莫名其妙，其实他在句中作补语，说 gasoline如何便宜，这是对的。

6楼地肯定错，比较结构， cheap 一定要用比较级形式cheaper.

想问一下 “Because gasoline was a relatively cheap..."里的 "a" 是怎么回事？
这个题目很怪啊...
