Honor Code Commitment and Confidential Report

Schedule an interview with an LDS bishop or branch
president, or clergy of your faith, and request that the
interviewer complete Form B (with section 1 completed by
you) and return it to you in a sealed envelope with his or
her signature across the security seal. (The interviewer
may send the report directly to the Office of Graduate
Studies). Form B is valid for only one year from the date of
the signature. Please do not send in Form B more than
one year before you plan to start studies at Brigham
Young University.

I have asked the committee. No need for Chinese students before admission. But you may have the interview in BYU when you get to there. You are officially admitted when you pass the interview there. But I dont think it is a big problem

本来多想申请BYU的,但是一听到说摩门教,就吓退了,呵呵......

The question is: If I say I am not a religious person, do I still have a chance?

Is there anybody know this school?

to international applicants, they need not to have an interview with a Bishop. So, to the non-LDS applicants, they still have chances to be admitted.

I have submitted applicaiton materials, and during the whole process, I felt the admission committee's friendliness and kindness. I am very satisfied with their service.

我认识的朋友，有一个申请这个学校。所以比较了解些。

这是个Mormon 教开的学校。听说去的人多多少少会受些影响。比如不能喝含咖啡因的东西，包括茶。不能喝酒，抽烟。女生不能穿太少，等等。。。。而且因为大多数入学的人都是Mormon, 很多人都会拜上帝，有很多传教士会去感化你入教。还有mormon教友星期日都要去教会，学校和周围什么都没有！

我个人来说不喜欢太多束缚，没有选择这个学校。

好的方面有，学费低，它的Macc是两年的，比一年的program长些。

总体来说，这个学校其实可以，但是去的人可能要做好心理准备需要改变。

BUY semester term is different from other universities. they are shorter. i think you can skip some of the terms,(but check with school advisers to make sure).

if you want to take more classes and graduate earlier, no need to skip the terms.( i heard because it is religious school, you need to take a lot of religion classes)
