关于as ...as 和more than 结构的问题

在这两个问题上我总是搞不清楚，选项出现的时候我也不知道怎么选择，
还有关于as ---as后面的省略问题。
如According to a survey of graduating medical students conducted by the Association of American Medical Colleges, minority graduates are nearly four times more likely than are other graduates in planning to practice in socioeconomically deprived areas.

minority graduates are nearly four times as likely as other graduates to plan on practicing

原来问题里的我就没有看出来有什么错误，为什么要选下面的表达方式，？
而且我觉得原来题干里的句子读起来非常的顺口，

这道题的答案是有争议的。mm不用着急。
一般来说， as ...as 和 more ..than 是比较好区别的。但是as 和more不能混用
主要还是根据句意和结构来排除。

more likely than 'are' 用的不好.
這邊是graduates 與 graduates 在比！

B 則歧義. minority graduates 比 other graduates who plan on practicing

說明︰此句型意為“是…的幾倍”。<倍數詞>與<名詞>之間一定有 the 或<所有格>。有時可改為“<倍數詞>＋as＋<形容詞>”。三倍以上的“倍”，通常用“times”。而“more than＋<倍數詞>＋the（或<所有格>）＋<名詞>”譯為“是…的幾倍還不止”。
It was over twice the distance of the earth from the sun.
那是地球到太陽的距離的兩倍多。

按照turtlechen所说的第三条，这个也只是effectiveness的问题啦。

不同意楼上说法，我也认为 more likely than 'are' 用的不好. 系表结构，主语相同，系动词可以省。
同意ca3ltoys的说法，应该是likely to do sth.
