The Commercial Due Diligence (CDD) team advises corporate and private equity clients on strategic and commercial issues affecting their key investment decisions. Their work includes commercial due diligence, market entry studies and strategy assessments.

The strategy consulting team in KPMG China is growing.
Based in Beijing, capital of the world’s soon-to-be largest economy and already the world’s largest concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters, we have exposure to key elements of the Chinese economy including multinational and Chinese corporates, state owned enterprises, PE, some of the world’s largest financial institutions and central government.
We work in a stimulating environment across a range of projects, with a focus on:
1        Groundbreaking outbound M&A investments by Chinese clients seeking to globalise;
2        Foreign companies entering the China market for the first time (M&A and organic);
3        Multinational companies reinvigorating their China and ASPAC growth strategies;
4        A number of other services including target identification, location assessment, and FDI studies.

Responsibilities

•        You are expected to lead projects. Managing junior staff, proactively managing upwards with Partners and clients, leading business development activities, storyboarding our presentations and innovating new approaches, are all part of your role. You have the opportunity to work across teams with colleagues in corporate finance, valuations, financial due diligence and management consulting.
•        As you aspire towards Senior Manager you can be increasingly involved in business development and account management with multinational clients.
•        Candidates are expected to have a minimum of 4 years of direct strategy consulting experience, or 5+ years of other consulting and / or industry experience including management of small teams.  

Experience and skills

•        Ability to see the big picture – including commercial rationales and market context.
•        Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
•        Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
•        Emerging leadership and management skills.
•        Ability to build and maintain a network of relationships, internally and with our client base.
•        The desire and commitment to continuously innovate and improve.
•        Ability to manage and influence more senior stakeholders.
•        Attention to detail and conscientiousness in the big and small tasks.
•        Familiarity with Excel, Word and PPT are essential; advanced Excel usage and an ability to storyboard presentations for PPT are an advantage.
•        Mandarin language is a plus, but not required. For those keen to learn or improve Mandarin, this is an ideal environment.
