Despite the opening of the first Zara store in 1975, the international expansion only started at the end of the 1980s followed by the successive launch of new retail concepts such as Pull&Bear, Massimo Dutti, Bershka, Stradivarius, Oysho, Zara Home and Uterqüe. Inditex strategy combines a strong customer focus with an optimized organizational structure that encompasses all stages of the fashion value chain: from design to sale in proprietary shops through manufacturing and a state of the art logistics which helps deliver new products to all the stores twice weekly to offer the customers the clothes they desire.
The success of Inditex strategy is reflected on the company financial fundamentals as in less than 15 years quoting on the Stock Market, it becomes the largest Spanish multinational by market capitalization.
