1,332 2‘09 a couple of brother predict the medals of country by the factor of state, not the individual athlete data ,by the method data miner , and they are not the first one to do this , but the method can not predict individual score.
2,387 2'29 they first build the model using summer games to find out which variables is working and then adjust this model by remove some countries that never get medals in winner games, final they get the achieving model
3,431 2'55 some variables is not important like previous thinking ,like population ,but it is hard to replace by area size, and the host country will take big advantage. we don't know whether what this model get comparing to traditional way of predicting, and the brothers maybe abandon their work for this if the prediction is not follow the reality of Sochi games
