Applications are reviewed in rounds. We encourage candidates who have submitted their on-line application to log into OPUS to verify materials received and to check their application status. The Admissions Office cannot accommodate requests to verify materials received over the phone.

Admission Decision

The Admissions Committee reserves the right to limit the size of the entering class, and all decisions are final.

• Admitted Applicants: To reserve a place in the class, admitted applicants must submit a $1500 non-refundable deposit that will be applied to the first semester's tuition. Official transcripts are due with the deposit.
• Waitlisted Applicants: If waitlisted, we encourage students to submit the waitlist form and request feedback on their application.
• Denied Applicants: Applicants who are denied may re-apply within 1 year.

Essays

Please address the following questions and submit all essays in one complete PDF file. Essays should be written in 12pt. font and double-spaced. On the top of each page, indicate your full name as listed on your application and the question to which you are responding. The application system requires that you convert your document into PDF format prior to uploading it to your application. Instructions and access to a software program that will convert your documents are available within the application.

2013-14 Full-Time Applicant Essays

Answer all essays (numbers 1 through 4), following the directions indicated in the questions. NOTE: Applicants who apply to more than one MBA program will only complete the essay question requirement related to their first-program preference.

• Complete each of the following questions. Please limit your response to 200 words.
  
  
  • What is your short-term career goal and why is an MBA from Goizueta an important next step toward that goal?
  • If your initial career plans are not realized, what else are you considering?
    
• The Business School is named for Roberto C. Goizueta, former Chairman and CEO of The Coca-Cola Company, who led the organization for 16 years, extending its global reach, quadrupling consumption, building brand responsibility, and creating unprecedented shareholder wealth. It is his legacy and the strength of his character that gives rise to our vision: Principled Leaders for Global Enterprise.   How will you contribute to and make a lasting impact on the Goizueta Business School community as a student or alumnus? Please limit your response to 300 words.

Committee (i.e. unexplained gaps in work experience, choice of recommenders, academic performance issues or areas of weakness in application). Please limit your response to 250 words.

Please note, if you are applying for a Center Fellowship through one of our Centers (Emory Center for Alternative Investments, the Emory Marketing Analytics Center and Social Enterprise @ Goizueta) an additional essay is required. Re-Applicant Essays

Applicants who have applied to Goizueta Business School in the past are required to answer two questions:

  • If your initial career plans are not realized, what else are you considering?
    
• Explain how you have improved your candidacy for Goizueta Business School's MBA Program since your last application. Please limit your response to 250 words.
