How can you show that average speed is the average of starting speeding and ending speed if the speed increases at a constant rate?

It definitely requires advanced mathematics to answer this question,  However, OG simply uses this as a straightforward rule. That's not a fair game.

This is NOT advanced mathematics. 不需要微积分,就是初中数学。
来画一个坐标轴,横轴时间t,纵轴速度v,"if the speed increases at a constant rate" 意思就是对应一条straight line with slope>0(而不是curved line). 既然是straight line,那么average speed当然就是(v0+vt)/2,这是初等数学。


假如说是curved line,那确实需要用到高等数学的微积分,但这题不需要。
