正确答案是e   cd上有好多这道题的讨论帖的
注意这句话.Inflation in the intervening period has been negligible
就是说通货膨胀在这一时期的影响忽略不计了 怎么能选c呢

而e的意思是老年人的生活费主要靠年轻人补助，而且只是保障他们的基本生活，所以pension提高也不会老年人的生活也不会明显好转

我觉得E还是有问题.虽然说子女也有赡养他们，但是他们如果得到了pension会更加幸福

指出老人除了政府养老金之外的一个收入来源 -- 子女补助
E说子女补助会根据老人们按需给予。政府养老金增加，子女补助会相应减少，老人手中的收入还是和以往相当。

C 不正确，因为题目已经说明这段时间物价没有上涨。
