Example: "I'm tired of my boss always beating around the bush. I wish she would just give us a straight answer instead of dancing around the subject."

5. Hit the nail on the head

Meaning: Be exactly correct

Example: "Sarah hit the nail on the head when she pointed out the root cause of the problem. Her insights were exactly what we needed to find a solution."

6. Bite off more than you can chew

Meaning: Try to accomplish more than you can handle

Example: "Jim thought he could handle the project on his own, but he quickly realized he had bitten off more than he could chew and had to ask for help."
