*HKS dual-degree applicants MUST submit their applications in Round 2.
**Re-applicants may submit an application in any round. 
***LGO applicants must apply in the LGO Round.
****Decisions will be released early for some candidates who will be denied admission without an interview.

2016-2017 MIT Sloan Essay Prompt

Please submit a cover letter seeking a place in the MIT Sloan MBA Program. Your letter should conform to a standard business correspondence and be addressed to Mr. Rod Garcia, Senior Director of Admissions. (250 words or fewer)

Résumé: Please submit a résumé that includes your employment history and academic record in reverse chronological order. Other information appropriate to a business resume is welcomed and encouraged. (no more than 1 page in length)

Additional Information (Optional):

The Admissions Committee invites you to share additional information about yourself, in any format. If you choose a multimedia format, please host the information on a website and provide us with the URL.

Suggested guidelines:

Please keep all videos and media limited to 2:00 minutes total in length.
Please keep all written essays to 500 words or less.
If hosting your submission on a website, please ensure you provide an unprotected link (no password required).

得知Sloan今年只要求一篇250字的cover letter，我的内心其实是平静的，因为它很长时间以来基本上就是一所resume school（当然它是不会承认的）。只是，我在想，再这么下去，下一步就该直接把essay也免掉了吧？

Cover letter相信大家找工作的时候都接触过，简单来说就是pitch letter，说明“why you”，以此来说服对方给你一个面试的机会——这需要有很强的audience awareness，把读它的人真正感兴趣和需要的东西说出来。

那么Sloan的AO希望看到什么？

去年的Essay题目是写自己的成就，今年网申还没开始，可能Essay还没出。

刚问了Admission Director － 今年的essay就是cover letter，没有其他题目了。当然也可以写optional 那篇。
