答案是E,不知道这句号如何翻,Hosea Hudson是一人laborer,那it 能只待他吗?而且前面是一组织后面是一人,还如何翻啊?

it refers to the party , not the person.

对答案没有疑义.我的问题是,E里的seemed to be的to be是必须的吗?我觉得seemed就可以了啊.

seem后面可以直接接名词,Collins里面的例子:

On the face of if, their marriage seems an improbable alliance.

等等

只是这种情况比较少,究竟有没有区别还要请newbee来解释

可是og届时说是必需的呀。。。

and to be is needed to complete the predicate begun by seemed.

还有,og上有这么一句: In that in C and Since in D are less direct and idiomatic than Because in this context,

为什么in that 在这里没有because好呢??

seem后可以直接跟名词 如It seems a foolish decision now.
