Do you agree with the viewpoint that peopleare now easier to become educated than in the past?





Withthe fast development of time and technology, people nowadays values educationfar more than the past. What's more, the various educational places such ascolleges, organizations as well as high-tech methods such as Internet, TV, alsohelp people to get education. Therefore, in my point, people are now easier tobecome educated than in the past.


First of all, in today's world, people pay more attention to educationthan ever. Since getting a higher degree means a lot to a person, for example,they can get higher positions in a good company and get more money. In China, agreat amount of teenagers go to college every year and get their undergraduatedegrees since they want to have a opportunity to pursue their dreams. Even withundergraduate degrees, many people are not satisfied and still go for agraduate degree or even higher. Their insistent studies may come from their owninterests, however, many of them doing this because they can get a goodposition in a good company. With the highly developed technology, people nowface the big pressure and standard. And all of those standards require higheducations. That's a reason why people today are easier to become educated.


What's more, getting education is much easier than in the past. Thereare so many educational institutions such as universities, colleges and otherkinds of organizations which can offer satisfied educations. In China, almostevery city has its own universities or colleges and some big cities such ascapital Beijing and super city Shanghai, have far more than a hundred collegeswhich offer educations of thousands fields. Good students can apply betterschools all over the country such as Beijing University to get professionaleducation, and they even can apply for abroad universities such as Harvard andMIT. Normal level students can apply normal universities and can also applyoverseas' universities too. What' more, there are many universities andcolleges that give elder people lessons. With this huge number of institutions,we can get access to education much easier.



Last but not least, there are so many convenient methods to let peopleget education, such as Internet, TV, and lots of educational software. UsingInternet, we can have a distance education at any places and any time we want. Manyfamous universities today offer distance lessons to the whole public. We caneasily get education from a foreign university. What's more, many publiclessons' videos can be downloaded from Itunes, and those lessons are given byfamous professors from top universities of the world such as UCLA and Yale. Wecan learn more knowledge from various aspects. With the help of those high-techmethods, it is not like that we don't have methods to be educated in the past,and we can positively choose our own interested study to learn.


From all the points discussed above, we can know that nowadays,education is much easier to get access than ever before. Not only because wevalue education more, but also we have various chooses about where to study andmany ways about how to study.

It is more important to choose friends that have fun with than to choose friends that will help you when you need them.



With the development of time and technology, people now have more friends than before. We even can have friends all over the world. So there is a hot discussed question: whether we choose someone funny or someone who can help us to be our friends. Some people hold the opinion that funny people will be their first choice. However, in my point of view, I will choose someone that will help me when I need help to be my real friend.

 It is definitely great to have someone funny to be your friend. Their personalities are so attractive and they can make everyone laugh which is really amazing. If you are in a bad mood, this kind of friends will absolutely be your favorite guests. You can talk to them about your blue days and they can comfort you and really make you happy again. That thing can not be done by everyone, especially someone who is not good at speaking. So have a friend who is really fun can color your life and leave you good impression about them.

 However, if your friend who is funny suddenly disappears when you are in trouble, how would you feel about it? Funny? Most people definitely not agree with that. On the other hand, you will feel being abandoned, lonely and helpless even betrayed. If some friends help you get out of your trouble and stand by you all the time when you are in need. What would you feel about it? That's a feeling that only true friends will give you, which is warm and moved. An old saying states that a friend in need is a friend indeed, and there is a philosophy principle in it, right? Imagine you have an emergency, and your life is threatening, you will definitely thank god to give you a true friend who can help you.

  A true friend should be someone who not only shares happiness but also shares sorrows with you. Those who can just make you laugh but not keep you company when you are in need, is not a real friend. However, in order to deserve those friends, we must make sure that we can share happiness and sorrows with our friends and try our best to help them when they are in trouble. Everything is mutual, we can not require our friends to have good quality but we don't.

  From what have been discussed above, I think I have made my point clear, which is  I will choose someone who can help me when I am in need to be my friend. Because I think that is a quality that is necessary for true friends.

Nowadays, more and more young people go to university to get education. It is reasonalble to arise a hot discussion about whether professors should teach students more or do researches more. Many people believe that students deserve personally lessons by professors since they pay high tuition, while others believe that professors should do more researches. I agree with the second idea which is professors should do more researches, for the following reasons.

 First, professors absolutely know the knowledge well, however they may be not good at teaching at all. Some of them are really obsessed by their studies and experiments, may not deeply understand what students actually don't get and how to let them digest the knowledge well. And maybe some of them are very busy with references and meetings, so they can't guarantee the regular teaching which is actually not good for students. On the other hand, there are many lecturers and associate professors who can teach students very well. They have plenty of time to discuss problems with students and make sure they get the knowledge well. So the best choice for students may not be famous and busy professors, but some patience lecturers and associate professors who are also proficient in their field of study.

 Another reason why I think professors should do more researches is that it can benefit students a lot. First, students can learn about professors’ new study and research, which can help them to get the knowledge better than just reading their materials. Second, some senior students may have the opportunity to help professors with their study. As we all know, professors always do several projects at a time, and they really need some excellent students enter laboratory and do some professional jobs for them. I believe this is a good practice for students and it can really make your resume look good. I went to my professor's laboratory last year, and I really got a lot of experiences about Vehicle Network which I am now still studying at.

  What's more, professors’ researches and studies give the whole world a lot of advantages. Some of the fabulous inventions which benefit us a lot are from professors’ laboratories, such as fast Internet, transport, and advanced medical technologies. If our intelligent professors pay their great attention to teach rather than research, our society maybe not such advanced at all. Thanks to their great work, we now have more comfortable and healthier lives. What's more, some academic fields such as geography, astronomy, archaeology, need professors to study and find new evidences instead of telling their students hundreds of times about current inconclusive ,casual findings.

  There are many reasons why professors should research more rather than teach more. However, there are still some advantages for professors to teach students. But those advantages are not enough to make professors change their focus. So I believe that professors should do more research other than teach students.

First, professors absolutely know the knowledge well, however they may be not good at teaching at all. Some of them are really obsessed by their studies and experiments, may not deeply understand what students actually don't get and how to let them digest the knowledge well. And maybe some of them are very busy with references and meetings, so they can't guarantee the regular teaching which 指代不明，用法错误is actually not good for students. On the other hand, there are many lecturers and associate professors who can teach students very well. They have plenty of time to discuss problems with students and make sure they get 首先get 这个词表达就很含糊，而且到目前为止，用了三个字了，建议换点表达，比如learn, obtain, masterthe knowledge well. So the best choice for students may not be famous and busy professors, but some patience lecturers and associate professors who are also proficient in their field of study.

Another reason why I think professors should do more researches is that it can benefit students a lot.
