Do you agree or disagree,people who go out from their villege will be more successful and happier than people who stay in their village?



In modern time, people have various choices for life styles. For those people born in villages, they are able to select a completely different life from their fathers and grandfathers. However, outside world is full of challenges as well as opportunities. To go out or not? This is a question.

To answer this question, it is essential to define what are success and happy to a person's life. To me, the most important thing is to experience and enjoy the variety in life. Life is travelling, how valuable your life is greatly relies on how much different views you have seen in the trip. I like the silence in countryside; and I also enjoy the colorfulness in metropolitans. I feel comfortable to live in China, my own country, but I also want to face the culture shocks from different overseas countries. For people going out from their villages, it is great experience for them to see a vivid different world as well as to have different exposure. Such as, you can meet various people from every parts of the world, including Asian, African, and Latin American, etc. Making friends with them can be an important fortune for one's whole life.

Besides, compared to villages, big cities can provide people with more advanced facilities. University serves as a good example. People are able to learn knowledge, obtain professionally training, and establish networks here; it is completely unimaginative in small villages. Also, people enjoy better medical care in big cities. There are the most well-equipped medical centers and highly professional doctors. In a recent research, people in cities lives 9 years longer on average than those in villages. I can also raise many other examples, including theaters, libraries, public transportation system, all of which make the city life both convenient and vivid.

Last but not the least, going outside can help people get more work opportunities. Staying in villages, jobs opportunities are relatively limited, most of which are just related to local economy. Therefore, people with other work aspiration can only achieve their dreams in the outside world, where there are much more large positions and companies in diverse industries.

Certainly, going out also means a more challenging life. I understand the loneliness and great press people may suffer after leaving their hometown. However, I believe all these are worthy. Life is like a travel; only after beating those difficulties can you enjoy the greatness of the wonderful view.

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement: similar jobs with you for your children?



It is always controversial that whether children should take similar jobs as their parents did. I know many examples: the Nobel Prize owner, Marie Curie’s two daughters both became famous scientists; likewise, the son of General Li Guang, was also reputed for his great contribution during the war.

Admittedly, there are many advantages for children to follow their parents’ footprints in career. Not only can children gain work experience and knowledge from parents, but they also inherit other resources of the same industries, such as, the established networks.

However, I still choose not to force my children to enter the same industry as I do.

Firstly, it is the personal decision to choose the job.In my opinion, people should select what they like to do, but not what parents want them to do, as interest is the greatest motivation in people’s work.My children’s interest may be different from mine, and I don’t want to force them to do want they don’t really like. I know many parents make every effort to find a position for their children in government, where they are familiar with; however, those young people don’t like the routine life dull working style at all.

Meanwhile, the society is developing rapidly; my past experience and knowledge might be no longer useful for my children. In the past thirty years, many brand new jobs were generated. For instance, there was no stock market in China at all thirty years ago; however, it has become one of the most popular industries among fresh graduates. Similarly, it is possible that my children will face the same situation in the future.

In addition, it is very interesting for family members to have different jobs. One of the most common topics is about everyone’s job during family reunion. I enjoying communicating with other people and learning from different industries. It will be wonderful experience if my children can also teach me knowledge from their professions.

In conclusion, I agree there are advantages for kids to follow their parents in careers. However, I would rather let my children choose the career and life by themselves, which can make both them and me happier.

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement: Movies are worth watching only when they teach us something about the real life.

Watching movie is one of my favorite daily activities. Some movies taught me about the real life.   For example, “Titanic” is about love, “Black swam” is about growth, and “Gone with the wind" is about fighting with life. However, many other movies give me something different but still important.
First, some movies have nothing to do with real life, such as “E.T.” and “2012”. Rather than real life, these movies create an imaginative world with the special visual or sound effect. From them, we can understand how far human beings’ imagine can go beyond real life, and enjoy the different experience. I still remember, by watching “2012”, the fear and helpless I felt during the volcano eruption and earthquake, and the happiness after the main characters got survived.  
Second, some movies are just to release people’s feeling. One of my female friends has the habit of watching a tragic movie every Friday night. She deems it as way of releasing her whole week’s pressure from work. Every time when she sheds tears with those characters, she feels relaxed. A scientific research found that people with the habit of watching tragedies have longer life on average compared with those who don’t.  Another good example is that let teenagers watch adequate “exciting” movies to let off their excessive energy and become less violent.
Finally, people sometimes watch movies just for fun. Have you watched the popular comedy “Teddy” this year? It is about a funny teddy bear which talks “dirty words” with “inappropriate actions”. Obviously we cannot treat this character as a role model nor learn anything from it. However, this movie is interesting and can bring a family a good evening with a lot of laughter.  Who will say this movie is not worth watching?
We cannot deny that sometimes movie is a good source of learning real life. However, different movies satisfy people in different ways, bring them into an imaginative world, release their feeling, or just for fun.
