The reading material makes the point that rare and important fossils are now being sold to private ownership for millions of dollars, which is an unfortunate development for both scientists and the general public. However, the professor demonstrates a contradictory idea that though fossils trading has some disadvantages, the benefits of commercial fossil trade overweight the disadvantages.
To start with, contrary to the belief in the passage that fossil trade makes it harder for the public to see fossils, leading to a decline in public interest in fossils, the professor says that it is the trade that makes great opportunities to the public enjoy the fossil exhibition and people have great exposure to those fossils. For example, public schools and libraries are able to buy these fossils and exhibit them to the public.
In addition, the writer shows that scientists are likely to lose access to some of the most important fossils and thereby miss out on potentially crucial discoveries about extinct life forms. The speaker, on the other hand, holds a different view by saying that scientists will not lose the access to the fossils. All the fossils will be firstly identified by scientists, even some of them will be examined and tested by experts before merchants purchase them.
Finally, the author states that commercial fossil collectors often destroy valuable scientific evidence associated with the fossils they unearth, which challenges the standpoint made by the lecturer who says that if the commercial fossil trade does not exist, less fossils would be discovered by scientists with the information of location and environments.

Finally, the author states that commercial fossil collectors often destroy valuable scientific evidence associated with the fossils they that unearth, which challenges the standpoint made by the lecturer who says that if the commercial fossil trade does not exist, less fossils would be discovered by scientists with the information of location and environments.

总体很好啊 语言简练高效 学习学习
小错误机会有 对听力侧重多一些就更好啦~

The reading material makes the point that rare and important fossils are now being sold to private ownership for millions of dollars, which is an unfortunate development for both scientists and the general public. However, the professor demonstrates a contradictory idea that though fossils trading trade has some disadvantages, the benefits of commercial fossil trade overweightthe disadvantages.

To start with, contrary to the belief in the passage that fossil trade makes it harder for the public to see fossils, leading to a decline in public interest in fossils, the professor says contradictsthat it is the trade that makes greater opportunities to the public to enjoy the fossil exhibition and people have greater exposure to those fossils. For example, public schools and libraries are able to buy these fossils and exhibit them tofor the public.

In addition, the writerpassage shows that scientists are likely to lose access to some of the most important fossils and thereby miss out on potentially crucial discoveries about extinct life forms. The speaker professor on the other hand, holds a different view by saying that scientists will not lose the access to the really important fossils. All the fossils will be firstly identified by scientists, even some of thembecause in order to to identify fossilsthey will be examined and tested by experts before merchants purchase them.(理解有少许偏差)

Finally, the authorprofessor states that commercial fossil collectors often destroy valuable scientific evidence associated with the fossils when theythat unearth them, which challenges the standpoint made by the lecturer who says that 这个写的是相当的到位~~if the commercial fossil trade does not exist, less fossils would be foundthen many fossils would simply go completely undiscoveredneedless to say the information of location and environments.
