各位CDer大家好！我是Tippie（Iowa） MBA一年级学生。关于Tippie的信息CD上比较少，希望通过这个帖子我能跟大家分享交流有关Tippie（Iowa ）MBA 的信息和申请的一些问题。我是CD的受益者，也希望这个帖子对今年以及以后申请的同学有所帮助。大家有问题尽管问我。

Tippie (Iowa）MBA有5个方向可以选择，分别是Marketing，corporate finance，investment management，process and operations excellence，and strategic management & innovation，其中最有名的是finance。

Tippie（Iowa）MBA最大的优势是小项目，每年大概在70左右，小项目的好处是同学关系比较亲密，每位同学都能得到就业中心personalized指导和帮助。Tippie校友网络在中部地区很强，毕竟其MBA项目发展了好几十年了。其在中部包括芝加哥一带还是有一定的知名度。和学校合作比较好的企业有United Stationers, Parker Hannifin, Wellmark, Zimmer,Gallup，Eaton，John Deere，Nestle-Purina等等，主要就业的公司可以查看：http://tippie.uiowa.edu/fulltimemba/careers/companies.cfm 学校对就业相当重视，就实习来说，每年70%左右是通过学校的MBA的就业中心获取的；这两年的就业实习单位专业方向分类：https://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&hl=en&msa=0&msid=104763820621279643892.0004879526decca22e1aa&ll=37.020098,-100.283203&spn=33.464656,56.25&z=4&source=embed

中国学生及其相关就业，Tippie（Iowa）MBA项目中国学生真的是不多，今年我这届就两个，我还有一个女生，没有台湾的，去年大陆一个，台湾有4个好像。原因可能是多方面，但有一点是肯定的：学校对英语的口语及交流能力要求很高，为什么？这是我在录取主任那里得到的答案：我们是小项目，首先要考虑的是保证录取后的就业。的确如此，大陆好多700+的都Ding了，如果你口语够强，G 680以上，拿全额学费奖学金也不是没有可能。今年毕业的两个大陆的都在这边找到了工作，具体的公司我不详。这两个是Finance方向。


另外Tippie（Iowa）的奖学金非常慷慨，大陆只要是录取的基本上都是cover 80%的学费，如果你背景在好一点，基本cover全部学费。性价比很高：Tippie graduates see a positive return on their investment faster than any other MBA program in the country, according to Forbes.U.S. News ranks Tippie #6 for best financial value.

Can I get an application fee waiver?
We award fee waivers to potential applicants who exceed our admission criteria, have a background/career goals aligned with our program's strengths, and who stand out from their peers. To be considered, send a resume, GMAT or GRE score (if using a GRE score, we'll need your score breakdown between verbal and quant), and a short statement of your post-MBA goals to tippiemba@uiowa.edu(use subject line "Full-time MBA Fee Waiver"). A member of the admissions team will review your credentials to determine eligibility and respond within 3-5 business days.



TOEFL waive information:
The TOEFL is required for international students whose native language is something other than English. There are two exceptions to this rule which exempt students from taking the TOEFL:

1) If the student graduated from a university located in a country where English is the primary language.
2) If the student is from a country where English is not the primary language, but graduated from a university where all classes were taught in English and they score 80% or higher on the verbal section of the GMAT.

请问学校对口语能力是从什么方面认定的？单纯卡托福口语分数，还是结合面试表现来看呢？我的口语只有19
