I have been working for IB/hedge fund for the past 3 years as an analyst and given the current market status in the US, I see little room for growth in term of career path. I feel that China provides some great opportunities in either pe/vc, consulting or ib, but could I possibly get the same opportunities if I studied in CMU as compare to CEIBS and go back to China? If things don't go as planned in China, doesn't CMU provide me with a protection to work in the US? I am typing English because somehow my language package on my PC is not functioning, thanks everyone. -- by 会员 gauchohunter (2011/4/2 0:34:59)
Vote for CEIBS. Given having the experience, both MBAs can more or less further help you break into PE/VC though still hard... But in terms of career development in China, CEIBS is better for its networks really wide and powerful in China especially in Shanghai and Beijing. CMU is a very small class with only less than 10 Chinese students with only a very few students who see China as their destination. And CMU is totally not a finance school. Perhaps LZ's only choices among all schools in US are only Booth or Wharton (perhaps add CBS). MBA is Brand, Brand, and Brand. Everybody in China knows that CEIBS is the top MBA of China even in Asia, while seldom know CMU, nothing to say Tepper... |
