Hi,friends:

有个CBS推荐信中的问题,想请教大家的观点. CBS第7和第8个推荐信问题分别是:

7. What do you think motivates the candidate’s application to Columbia Business School?

8. In what ways could the applicant improve professionally?  If you could change one thing about the applicant, what would it be?

我的问题是,在第7个问题中,比如我的目前老板说,Eric(我)去读MBA的一个原因是因为希望得到金融领域的锻炼.但在第8个问题中,CBS又问我在专业技能上有哪些需要提高的地方,我的老板又说,我希望Eric(我)在金融领域得到锻炼,这样的回答,不是和第7个问题的回答重复了吗?

不知道各位牛人有什么好的建议?

我的问题是,在第7个问题中,比如我的目前老板说,Eric(我)去读MBA的一个原因是因为希望得到金融领域的锻炼.但在第8个问题中,CBS又问我在专业技能上有哪些需要提高的地方,我的老板又说,我希望Eric(我)在金融领域得到锻炼,这样的回答,不是和第7个问题的回答重复了吗?

不知道各位牛人有什么好的建议?

Q7 and Q8 have two different level of focus. Q7 focuses on the your aspirations to pursue MBA, which is more of your vision. And Q8 focuses on the skills you want to develop in your MBA, should be the skills and knowledge in detail. In your case, Q7 is about further advancement in financial industry, and Q8 should be the skillsets / tools to be developed for this advancement.
