I have friends in Canada. Actually according to them, the adademic standards in Canada MBA programs are pretty close. No one B-school is particularly better than the other one. It all comes down to school locations, targeted potential employers and more importantly, the students themselves. University of Toronto is a great school but the MBA program is way too expensive even compared to its peers in US. The recruitment standards of Rotman is by no means lower than some of its US counterparts, or maybe even more difficult due to the GPA requirement. If you are not trying to immigrate or want to work in Canada, it is better off applying for US B-schools. I do wanna move to Canada and finance or consulting are not some careers I would dream myself pursuing. Canada offers an easy and better quality of life, but is not the place to make big money. -- by 会员 jading (2010/1/25 23:12:40)
