Q: How many applications werereceived last year and how large is the current class? 去年总共收到多少份申请？现任班级规模有多大？
A:For the summer 2012 application cycle, we received 647 applications for 120spots.  For summer 2013, we anticipateincreasing the class size to 165 spots. 在2012MFIN的项目招聘中，我们一共提供了120个名额，但却收到了647份申请。对于2013 MFIN Program,预计我们会将班级规模扩大到165人。

Q: When dostudents matriculate each year? 被录取的学生每年都是何时入学？
A: The MFINprogram begins in late June with anintensive summer session.  We do notoffer Fall matriculation for the MFIN program.

Q: How long will it take to complete the TulaneMFIN program? 需要多长时间才能完成Tulane MFIN项目？
A: The MFIN is an intensive full-time program,with new enrollments starting each summer. Students complete 34 credit hours over 11 months (summer, fall, andspring) and graduates earn a Master of Finance degree. MFIN项目是个密集的，全职项目，开始于每年的夏天。学生要求在11个月的时间内（暑期，秋季和春季）完成34个学分，然后毕业时才能拿到经融硕士学位。

Q: Can I extend the length of the program?  我能延长项目么？
A: No. The program is designed to be completed in oneacademic year, starting in the summer and ending in spring of the followingyear. Q: When will I attend classes?  上课时间是怎样的？
A: Classes are held at various times from Mondaythrough Thursday. Individual student schedules may vary. Please note that thestart date or class schedule days may change from year-to-year based on currentenrollment numbers or other reasons. 从周一到周四，课程的安排根据需要而定。学生会有自己的课程表。但是需要注意的是，课程开始的日期每年都会有变动，主要是根据当年的招生人数和其他原因而定。

Q:Will I take classes with other graduate business students at the Freeman School? 在Freeman，我是跟其他研究生一起上课么？
A: MFIN students take all core courses with fellowMFIN classmates, but would have limited opportunities to take classes withother graduate business students in elective courses.  Students can bolster their interaction withother graduate business students by participating in various student organizations. MFIN学生跟其他MFIN的同学一起上所有的核心课程，但是在选修课上则有机会跟其他专业的学生一起。MFIN的学生可以通过参加各种学生组织跟其他专业学生互动。

Q:Will the Tulane MFIN program prepare me for the Chartered Financial Analyst(CFA) exams? Tulane MFIN项目能帮助我准备CFA（注册经融会计师）的考试么？
A: Asa Program Partner with CFA Institute, Tulane’s MFIN Program has been shown tocover at least 70% of the material on the Level I CFA exam. It should bepointed out that a student could take a set of electives that do not coverCFA-related materials, and therefore reduce their preparation for the exam. TheMFIN program should also not be thought of as a review session or “cram course”for the CFA exam. CFA suggests an average of 250 hours of preparation for eachexam. Your coursework within the MFIN program at Tulane should be thought of asone part of a multi-faceted preparation process as you sit for Level I of theCFA exam. 作为CFA机构的项目合作伙伴，Tulane的MFIN项目覆盖了至少70%CFA Level1所要求的材料。但是需要指出的是，有的同学可能会选修一些跟CFA不相关的选修课，从而减少了准备CFA的学习时间。同样，不要把MFIN项目看做是为CFA考试做准备的复习课程或者补习课程。CFA建议每个考试最好是250小时的准备时间，在MFIN项目中的课程可以当做只是准备CFA Level 1考试一个方面而已。

Q:What are the advantages of the Tulane MFIN being designated as a CFA ProgramPartner? 作为CFA的项目合作伙伴，Tulane的ＭFIN项目有哪些优势呢？
A: Tulane’s status as Program Partnerallows several benefits for our students. First, we offer several awards eachyear to help students defer part of the cost of taking the CFA Level I exam.Second, a workshop is given each year on the Ethics portion of the CFA Body ofKnowledge using materials provided directly from CFA Institute. Third, TulaneMFIN students have access to a free online practice test to help them preparefor the Level I exam. A: TheFreeman School does not defer admission decisions; however, we keep allapplication materials on file for two years. If you have previously applied to program, please contact the Office ofGraduate Admissions for information on reactivating your application. Freeman商学院是不提供这种延迟入学服务的。但是，我们会保留你的申请材料2年，如果你之前申请过该项目，你可以联系招生办去激活你之前的申请。

Q: Do youoffer conditional admission to the programs? 该项目提供条件入学么？
A: TheFreeman School does not offer conditional admissions under any circumstances.Applicants must submit all required application materials in order to bereviewed for an admission decision. Freeman商学院在任何情况下都不会提供条件入学。申请者必须提交所有要求的申请材料，才有被考虑录取的资格。

Q: Doesthe Freeman School accept transfer credits? Freeman商学院接收学分移交么？
A: We do notaccept transfer credits from any other institution. 只有一个问题，国内学校一般7月份毕业。6月底开学是不是意味着这些学生都不能申请，或者即使录取了也会因无法按时报到而被取消录取资格。多谢。

不会的，我们班大部分人都是应届毕业生，而且tulane开学的时间一般答辩什么的都弄完了，毕业证可以让同学寄过来，不用必须自己带着

Q: What factors does the AdmissionsCommittee consider when evaluating my application?

A:The Admissions Committee reviews applications holistically, which includes allrequired application materials (application form, essay, resume, academicbackground, recommendations, and test scores), to assess an applicant’smotivation, maturity and ability to successfully complete a graduate businessdegree.

A:It is impossible for the Admissions Committee to access your suitability to theprogram without reviewing a complete application.  lease refer to theClass Profile (link PDF)to compare your credentials with successful candidates to the program.

A: Currently,the Tulane MFIN does not require any specific course prerequisites; however,the Admissions Committee will look for demonstrable quantitative skills.Typical candidates have business, economic, engineering or computer scienceacademic backgrounds or have taken coursework in finance, statistics,economics, accounting, engineering, or some other quantitatively orientedfield.  
  目前，Tulane MFIN项目没有任何的特定课程背景要求；但是，招生委员会比较看重那些具有量化背景的技能。通常情况下，被录取的学生都具备商业，经济，工程或者计算机科学学术背景，或者之前参加过这些方面的课程。

A: We do not require post graduate work experience in the Tulane MFINprogram; however, internship experience in finance related industry is a plus.

Q: When should I apply to the TulaneMFIN?

A:We have seats available for each application deadline, so you should not rushto apply to meet the earliest deadline. Applicants should apply when they can provide their most competitiveapplication.  For example, if you areplanning to retake the GMAT, you should wait to apply with your mostcompetitive score.
   在任何一轮的截止日期前你都可以申请，所以你并不需要匆忙地去赶最早的那轮申请。建议在具备了最有竞争力的情况下申请。例如，如果你打算再战GMAT，那你就最好等拿到最好的成绩后再开始申请。

Q: Whatcredentials should I submit to complete my application?

A: In orderto complete an application for review, we require the following applicationmaterials: the online application form, a current resume, post-secondarytranscript(s), one essay, two letters of recommendation, and a GMAT/GREscore.  International applicants willalso need to submit a TOEFL/IELTS score and the Affidavit of Support form (link) along with supporting financialdocuments (such as bank statements).  Our application process is entirelypaperless and all required documents must be submitted electronically via theonline application.  Werequire official documents (transcripts and test scores) at the time enrollmentis confirmed.

A:Ourapplication process is entirely paperless; therefore applicants should not mailhard copies of application materials to our office.  All required application materials should besubmitted via the online application system. We will not process or review any supplemental materials (personalstatements, research papers, thesis, hard copies of recommendation letters,etc.) mailed to us.  If you areadmitted and decide to enroll in the program, we will notify you of anyofficial hard copies we require from you.

A: No, due tothe large volume of applications, the Admissions Committee is unable to providespecific feedback to individual applicants on admission decisions.

A:The number of applicants placed on the waitlist varies each year.  The Admissions Committee does not rankwaitlisted applicants.  Each applicant isreviewed both individually and against the entire applicant pool.
