PS：E选项为什么PREPARING 前省TOWARD呢，能省的吗？

第一题
好久以前做过，答案不记得了。就记得当时觉得是个没见过的用法，觉得很难。
不过现在放松心态重新来看，其实很容易就能看出来选A。

从词性来看，as在这里明显是介词。没记得哪个介词可以接be动词的，就算有也是being（当然being在这里也错）.所以有are的B、E排除.
D跟A比，除了啰嗦没有区别。排除D

然后就剩A跟C了，those没有东西可以指代，排除C。
只有A了
上面是从反面用排除法。

从正面入手：
as varied as……其实就是个穿了马甲的as ……as 结构
跟as much as ，as beautiful as之类的用法没多大区别，只是对象变成复数的

toward就一小小的介词，当然可以省略。
I ate up my breakfast and yours as well.在yours前加个up多奇怪啊
