OG12-50查了很多帖子，发现其实用语义可以解决一切，欢迎拍砖

看了很多帖子，大侠们有提到很多规则，比如关于fear在earlier in the year的时态问题，我觉得好复杂，记也很容易记混淆，干脆就不记，因为一道SC的考题怎么可能单单考你时态呢，还有一些筒子提出rather后面不能加to，我觉得这个有待商榷，不能用来当利器，纠结了很久这道题目，后来发现，其实用语义就可以解决一切，详情见下，大家也帮忙看看，有不是之处还望拍个砖提个醒
50.  According to some analysts, the gains in the stock market re?ect growing con?dence that the economy will avoid the recession that many had feared earlier in the year and instead come in for a “soft landing,” followed by a gradual increase in business activity.
(A)  that the economy will avoid the recession that many had feared earlier in the year and instead come

What不能引导定语从句
(C)  in the economy’s ability to avoid the recession, something earlier in the year many had feared, and instead to come
正如OG所言，earily in the year在这个地方有歧义，并且我们很容易在这个地方忽略一点，会根据平行自己想当然的认为，是economy come in for a soft landing，但是此选项说的是ability，并且前面的中心词是confidence，confidence是不会come in for的，明显是不符合逻辑的，从比较这五个选项中我们也可以发现，只有这个选项加了一个ability，所它成为正确答案的概率不会高，可排除
(D)  in the economy to avoid the recession many were fearing earlier in the year, and rather
to come
这是最容易错选的选项，咋一看，平行也平行，定语从句省略了that也合理（PS：这个地方我不同意OG的，因为定语从句中先行词做宾语是，连接词是可以省略的），但是问题来了，这个地方平行的时候我们同样很容易想当然是economy come in for a soft landing,其实不然，因为结构是这样的confidence( in the economy)to avoid ……，and rather to come ……，所以搭配是错的，因为你可以是说信心能够避免什么，但是不能说它接受软着陆
(E) that the economy will avoid the recession that was feared earlier this year by many, with it instead coming
前面几个都平行，在GMAC中，平行是王者，所以这个选项我一看的时候基本就可以排除，也不符合流畅的语言要求，看着都费劲，就不会是正确答案了
综上所诉，就得出答案A， 大家觉得我的思路正确否~？

可是在62题的正确答案中：to establish tighter restrictions on the amount of grain farmers will be allowed to grow and to encourage. farmers will be allowed to grow缺又省略了连接词that

大班大牛大好人aeo的答复：一般来说that在定从中做宾语的话that需要省略，不过这里many前面的that需要补出的，为的是避免had feared和come in并列的歧义。so，无歧义凌驾于所有原则之上。

思路正确，已经上路了，不同的句子排布会折射出不同的语义，所以从语义入手解题不仅仅从本质入手、更可以绕过繁杂的语法点辨析过程。
不过我想在实战、实际做题时还可以再简化一些思路。
本题考点不在fear的时态，因为fear用过去时或者过去完成时都没有问题，只是表达不同含义而已。
首先B,C,D通过前面四五个单词秒排，to avoid的修饰对象成了confidence，对于E，读过一遍选项感觉many突兀，细看无所指，with it instead没有修饰对象，排除。这道题目可以15秒做完。
或者换一种思路：
confidence后面应该用that解释更为有效，那么依然剩下A,E。
