The MOOCs,unlike the University of Phoenix, have many prestigious universities behind with high reputation. But they have a different problem: they don't offer any major degree,or even a completion certificates.

MOOCs offer different approach of learning for 20 or 30 something, willing to help students figure out what a company do need from them. And a way to make online degree effective is choosing schools which are inputed in curriculum by companies, except for some skills that need to be learn face to face.

The answer of whether online education could help students finding jobs would be yes, sometimes. Not all HRs in Fortune 500 companies agree with online degree, some of them worries that it might not be as challenging as traditional education. |
