我看elroy语法笔记的时候上面说是evidence suggest两件事。也就是说这里面to suggest...是修饰evidence的、
但是我查看以前的讨论帖。又有很多人说 是find evidence to suggest中suggest是 修饰人发出的动作的。

到底这里的to suggest是修饰evidence还是 embryologists呢?怎么觉得都可以呢。。。会不会有歧义啊？？

to suggest不定式修饰名词时，并不表示suggest这个动作的发出者是由被修饰的名词发出的。不定式做定语是可以和所修饰名词是主谓、动宾、动状的关系。

特别是，当不定式修饰抽象名词idea, evidence, ability, chance...等不存在动宾，主谓或者动状关系。

不懂。。。能再具体一点吗？这里的to suggest 是定语修饰evidence？

原题A项表达是：
Australianembryologists have found evidence that suggests that the elephant isdescended from an aquaticanimal, and its trunk originally evolving as a kindof snorkel.

官方解释很清楚，因为evidence that suggests that的表达太啰嗦，且逗号后的and its trunk...变成与主句have found并列，造成逻辑错误。所以改成evidence to suggest that....and that its.....
这里不定式to suggest修饰evidence。

have found evidence (that is) to suggest...这么说可以吗？？ to do都是表示目的的 啊， 就是说evidence是为了去suggest？
