Hi there,
Let me provide the following info to help you make decision:
1. Johns Hopkins Carey Business School was part an entity aligned with Johns Hopkins School of Education before. In 2007-2008, it separates into two schools, and the other part, School of Education, now ranks the second by US news. As for JHCBS, we are not accredited yet but are already in the process. I do not think anyone should worry for it simply because AACSB hasaccredited to so many schools out there (many of them you may not hear of )
2. Johns Hopkins brand name carries its weight, some of current students find the brand name very much useful in seeking for employments not only domestically but also internationally. Please do realize that Johns Hopkins name represents one of the top research institutions in the whole world.
3. D.C., as some of the comments said, is not a finance city but more of a political science, and international relations and development related place. However, there still exist opportunities in finance. And marketing, management, e-commerce related jobs are not easier to locate.
4. Johns Hopkins Global MBA is the best program within our school. Please take a look at the D2M and I4H programs, those are very special experiences and you will not be able to gain those from other programs.
Many thanks for reading this and I hope this helps.
