the hearing of impeachment of President Richard Nixon 就是完整的一个名词，which就是修饰这个名词。并没什么错误。

个人的看法，原句有这么几处不合理：
1，原句在句意上不合逻辑。

2，not until Barbara Jordan's participation in the hearings on the impeachment of President Richard Nixon in 1974 was she made a nationally recognizedfigure 超长的主语和被动语态的错误使用。

3，as it was televised nationwide. it 指代不清，participation？ the hearing ？
