第一题偶实在也没什么感觉到底选C还是D，但是就will be to来说是没有问题的，其实是倒装引起的。

(c) astronomers have developed a scale to rate how likely a particular asteroid or comet will be to
how 后面的句子正常语序是：how a particular asteroid or comet will be likely to

如果说答案是C的话，只能按XDF的理论 to do sth. 优于 for doing sth.

不知道有没有 sth. be likely to do sth. 优于 likelihood that 一说？

同 意 楼 上 JJ的 意 见 ， 主 句 的 谓 动 词 是 过 去 式 ， 那 从 句 的 动 词 时 态 应 该 用 would be比 较 恰 当 。 而 且 用 过 去 进 行 式(was closing up)表 示 xx 公  司 因 为 销 售 差 而 造 成 的 结 果 正 在 产 生 作 用。

Q4 is definitely C.  
A unnecessarily uses passive construct, which makes the sentence long and awkard.
"Sb. announced (that) it was doing sth." is a quite common usage.

如果说答案是C的话，只能按XDF的理论 to do sth. 优于 for doing sth.

I know nothing about XDF theory, but I know for sure when expressing intended purpose of doing sth., "... to verb..." is surely better than "for verb+ing ...".

不知道有没有 sth. be likely to do sth. 优于 likelihood that 一说？

Q1，google上的"scale for rating the likelyhood"有一大堆，我也觉得这里for rating是定语。应该选D。

Q4，只有A明确地指出谁的sales不好。

"for doing sth." 本身没有错,只是在表动作的目的时没有"to do sth"好.

Q4，只有A明确地指出谁的sales不好。

A: "sales of up to 1/4 of its stores are poor" has two problems: 1) "of" should be replaced by "at";  2) the company must already knew how many stores had bad sales, to it doesn't make logic sense to say "up to 1/4".

大家觉得 How likely…will be to 很奇怪，想

请问是因为Likely + will 这样的组合很怪吗？

假如我说 I will be likely to leave China next month

那问句不就是 How likely will you be to leave China next month 这样的句子很怪吗？

还是说Will的用法是多余的呢？ 也就是说be likely be 本身就有will的感觉

另外 to LES,突然想到，间接问句可以倒装吗？ I don’t know where I can go 似乎不能说成I don’t know where can I go 这是不是也是选项Ｃ的错误呢？

Q4:选项A我认为是错的 它犯了一个最大的毛病 用代名词  they 代替所有格 sales of stores 的stores, 这在OG里面似乎绝对是错的 but nobody points it  out?….不知道大家以为如何呢？

Q1，不一定非要表目的。要根据逻辑意思的合理性还有语法的正确性来判定。

Q4，of应该是可以的，google上有例子。up to可以理解为as many as。这一题要看逻辑意思，别的逻辑意思都会混淆呀。

主谓倒装当然不可以喽。不过像本题的副词前置应该可以啦。因为how这里是修饰likely的，就近修饰。
看大全里的一个例题中的未划线部分：

Federally imposed restrictions on how much they may pay small savers has made difficulties for savings banks as they are competing with such unregulated investment vehicles as money market certificates.

(A) has made difficulties for savings banks as they are competing with such

(B) has made difficulties for savings banks competing with such

(C) have made difficulties for savings banks as they are competing with

(D) have made it difficult for savings banks to compete with such（D）

(E) have made it difficult for savings banks as they are competing with such

Just a side comment:
Google-ing is probably not a good tool when dealing with GMAT.  Asyou know, there are plenty of bad English usage, or English usage notliked by ETS, on the Internet.  Unless the usage is from somereputable sites, such as Washington Post, New York TImes, Wall StreetJournal, Business Week, Economist, etc., it won't make a convincingargument, at least to me :-)
