学校要求进行 sevis record transfer，什么意思？求教美本同学

我是美国本科，有I-20，sevis以及其他所有记录，前些天USC发邮件来录取，我交了财产证明之后，又发了封邮件，没看懂什么意思，大家帮我看一下。

Dear XXXX,

Your financial statement has been received and it is sufficient. We are adding it to your file.

You will be receiving an email instructing you about your SEVIS record and the next steps that are needed in order to  transfer your SEVIS record to us when the time comes.

是不是要是转了sevis，就意味着定他们家？我还有不少学校没出结果额。。。
希望有其他美本的同学可以帮忙解答下，谢谢

对的。你的sevis record要转的学校是你一定会去的学校。没有定下要去的学校之前不要轻易转sevis record.

那么学校要求我转，我就跟学校托？交个deposit倒是无所谓，就怕不要我交deposit，叫我限时转seivs，那么如何是好啊。。。

对的。你的sevis record要转的学校是你一定会去的学校。没有定下要去的学校之前不要轻易转sevis record.

sevis record的release date是你自己控制的。这个归international office管。和admission office，你所在专业的系里没有关系。是两码事。你再好好和USC的国际学生办公室沟通一下。一般来说school calendar开学之前转过去就可以了。
