求教一道几何题目

the sides if a square regine, measured to the nearest centimeter, are 6 centimeter long . the least possible value of actual area of the square region is ?
A 36
B 35
C 33.75
D 30.25
E 25
感觉最小应该取5.5CM那么算出来应该是D30.25啊，为什么答案是33.75呢？
求教！
