如果(B)改为 they denounce big government--they say that government is doing too much and has become too powerful--but supporting  at the same time。这样正确吗？

换个言之， they denounce big government--they say that government is doing too much and has become too powerful--but they support  at the same time。这样肯定是正确的吧。。。

这2个句子我觉得其实是一样的呀。

我觉得还是不对，你想想，把中间的插入拿掉之后句子成了，they denounce big government but supporting at the same time, 这哪通啊。。

简单说吧，就是but能不能像while那样使用呢？

PREP1-131上方有一个关于while用法的补充说明，
while可以在做状语从句的时候，省略与主句相同的主语。
但是but没有这种用法。

也不知道笔记上的说法对不对，有看到例外的童鞋，欢迎拍砖啊~~~
