<3>Test of Engl as a Foreign Lang(due date: 15 May)
Either the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) computer-based test, or the TOEFL paper-based test or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with the following results: 1) TOEFL computer-based test, minimum score of 230 with Essay Rating of 4.5, or the TOEFL computer-based score of 250, or; 2) TOEFL paper-based test, minimum score of 570, and the paper-based Test of Written English (TWE), minimum score of 4.5, or TOEFL paper-based score of 600, or; 3) IELTS, minimum score of 6.5. Test scores must be sent directly from the testing agency to Simon Fraser University. You may be exempted from writing the TOEFL, TWE, or IELTS test if you have: 1) achieved an interim or final grade of 86% (A) or higher on a senior secondary school (Grade 12 or OAC) English or English Literature course in a Canadian province other than Quebec; 2) achieved a final grade of B or better on a post-secondary course taken at a B.C. institution which transfer as English credits, whether assigned or unassigned; 3) graduated in a Bachelor's or higher degree program at a recognized university in which the language of instruction and examination is English. <4>Application fee 85 CAD(due time 26 March)
