not NN.just FYI:

almost expected，几乎被预测...逻辑不对，所以almost不能修饰expected。almost是修饰to double的，所以必须放在to double边上，但是放在后面又会有修饰by the end of the year的可能，所以在此只能放在to double前面，不能放在to double中间是因为，不定式绝对不能被拆分。

另外：be expected that 错，expect that是可以的。

be expected to do 是正确搭配搭配。

斑斑~这道题依然不是非常明白！真心求教！
疑问：
D:
1) double和provide可以平行？个人觉得这两个不是平行关系. Provide应该作结果状语修饰主句
2) production is expected almost to double by the end of the year and thus to provide enough electricity
--> production provide???逻辑上合理吗？
3) almost在原句中修饰expected, 可以随便调换吗？你说almost修饰expect逻辑不合理..悲剧了我觉得挺合理的...
4) MANHATTAN P158:
RIGHT: It is expected that ....will
