Upon review of your file I do not show you have provided adequate financial guarantee to cover the shortfall of $12,900 between the amounts which appear to be offered in the assistantship and the estimated annual expenses.  Please provide a bank statement or letter in your or a sponsors name showing sufficient funds to cover the above shortfall during your first year expenses.  If you are sponsored by someone other than yourself we would require that you provide a signed and dated sponsorship letter as well detailing your sponsors willingness to provide the same $12,900 each year during the second year of your program of study.  

想和师哥师姐们确认一下:

按照ISS对我的要求，如果存款证明上是我本人的名字，我其实只需要提供$12,900的存款证明就行了吧? 本人想提供个$17,000~18,000的存款证明就连签证都OK了吧？

另外，Btw, 存款证明提供两家银行的可以吗？然后，要美金的吗？

几家银行都可以，人民币美金都可以。

好心的话可以做张表给学校，标明人民币存款证明上的总数，除以当天的挂牌汇率，最后等于多少美金

美国签证好像不需要的，有些国家是。

大使馆是不要求你一定要带存款证明的，因为I20上已经表明学校收到你的证明，也认为你有支付第一年的能力。

很多人带很多工资证明存款证明房产证股票啥的，是希望万一签证官质疑他们的财务能力的时候，可以摸出来SHOW一下。

额当年签证的时候，大使馆只看了I20

具体多长不记得，但签证以后是可以去银行解冻的。

因为收到好几家全奖，无分身之术，可能要放弃Smeal了。在这个帖子里，不不，瓜瓜（大家都叫你南瓜姐姐，因为我年纪不小了，所以只叫你瓜瓜），Rock，Winston等各位的热情，让我觉得无力回报。只能希望自己的退出，能给另一个中国同学新的希望。大约下周会写邮件，不知道这个帖子里是否有W/L的或等GA的，希望能把该给你们的还给你们。这是一个温暖的团体，祝福你们！
