请教prep 1-40 对答案的解释有疑问

这句话里companies是主语，为什么后面是conducting？………………要么是我没有看懂这句话，是什么意思？

哦 - -。我知道了。。。。。。。conducting...beverages是修饰companies的，，，，，choose才是谓语啊- -。看多了眼睛花了>___<!

aware of 不是应该和be连用的么？为什么不是being aware of 呢？
虽然我也知道sc中出现being 多数为错，但还是有这一丝不确定……求讲解

d选项是说知道1 2 ab 的 connotations
句意被改变了的啊。

大神，你的意思是看就近的名词，如果就近的名词在逻辑上可以这么指代但是想要表达的含义并不是这样，就产生了歧义；如果就近的名词逻辑上就不可能指代，跳跃到符合原文的名词，这样是没有歧义的。但是Ｍａｎｈａｔｔａｎ中有一例句我无法解释
Wrong: After roasting the deer, the hunter extinguished the fire and then　searched for a tree to hang H from.
From the sense of the words, we assume that the hunter intends to hang the deer, not the fire. But it　could reasonably refer to the fire, a closer non-personal noun. A reader would likely be confused.　逻辑上理解ｆｉｒｅ　不可能ｈａｎｇ　ｆｒｏｍ　ｔｈｅ　ｔｒｅｅ，跳跃指代岂不是没有歧义了？

我觉得，也可以用Being aware of...，分词短语置于句首修饰主语companies
