C错的原因是，后面的as seen。。。是修饰the rate at which trees grow的，C的话，as seen前面是sunspot cycles，产生歧义。

首先要倒装，

在地球上，最能确认太阳黑子的运行出现的是树的年轮，大概就是这个意思。

ON EARTH 是状语，不是倒装，不是强调树木在地球上,

a,b,d,e are in accordance with the original one, C is absolutely wrong !
