 为什么不用do not represent ...but ....???  是不是不管什么动词,在这种句型里头都是直接用not ,而不用助动词来否定??

I think if put "do not" before represent, the represent may need to be repeated twice. So to make the sentence concise, it is better to put the "not..but" phrase after the verb.
