想再问一下目前Ross的校友,你们现在已经入学1年了吧。你们现在亲身感觉Ross的哪个方面对你们来说最好呢? 谢谢。
To JJLL
Michigan is well respected in the US. During my M-trek (for those really interested in Michigan, M-trek is a pre-school MBA studnets trip with mixed 2nd year and 1st year students), my american peers told me that they gave up offers from Kellogg, Chicago, NYU, Columbia, and Duke for Michigan. While, one guy was considering between UCLA and Michigan. Of course, they have different agenda: for dual program in Environment, in public policy or even for Michigan football team.
As for international students, post-MBA career is the most important issue, unless you are sponsored. Michigan is a great school for consulting, marketing, GM, and even for Finance. Consulting: we have international students getting offers from both Tier 1 and 2 consulting company, both in the US and overseas. Most major consulting firms hold case competitions or strategy scholar award in Michigan. For GM, we have TMI program, which has a solid reputation and great industry network in the US. For marketing, it is not my cup of tea, but it is one of the strongholds of Michigan. As for Finance, Michigan has the most united, though not largest, network in the Wall Street. I am very impressed by the passion and dedication of Michigan alumni in investment banks (which covers Investment banking, sales and trading, and private wealth management).
The most valuable resource in Michigan for job searching is, besides its large alumni network, the studnet-run clubs. Those clubs are well structured and provides very handy assistance to 1st year for summer interns and 2nd year for full time job.
To all candidates applying for Michigan
Good luck & have fun
